H-E-B, the popular grocery chain in Texas has recently announced purchasing limits on paper towels and toilet paper. H-E-B announces purchasing limits in attempts to ensure the availability of these products to all customers who may need them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As H-E-B announces purchasing limits on store items, it’s clear that many are being affected by the coronavirus. These purchasing limits apply to single and multipacks of toilet paper and H-E-B shoppers across the state can only purchase two at a time. Paper towel purchasing will also be limited to two purchases per person at all H-E-B stores. According to an update from the H-E-B newsroom that was published on June 27th, there are several other non-food items that are on the purchasing limit list. A few such items are products like acetaminophen, hand soap, and disinfecting sprays and wipes.
H-E-B also recently announced that brisket sold at their stores will also be limited to two per purchase.
In late April due to the coronavirus, H-E-B was forced to limit meat and poultry products that could be bought. Listed below are all of H-E-B’s purchasing limits.

- Acetaminophen – 2 items total (includes baby, trial and travel sizes, OTC)
- H-E-B Acid Controller/Famotidine and Pepcid 50ct and larger – Limit 1
- H-E-B Acid Controller/Famotidine and Pepcid smaller than 50ct – Limit 2
- Disinfecting & antibacterial sprays – 2 items
- Disinfecting & antibacterial wipes – 2 items
- Trial and travel size disinfecting & antibacterial sprays/wipes – 2 items
- Hand sanitizer – 10 items
- Hand soap – 4 items
- Hydrogen peroxide – 2 items
- Rubbing (Isopropyl) Alcohol/swabs – 2 items
- First Aid and Cleaning Gloves – 2 items
H-E-B does not accept returns on these following items:
