Grab your kids and go play in the street this Sunday, March 4th, for the second annual Síclovía. Held on a two-mile section of Broadway near downtown, and closed off to cars,  San Antonio’s Síclovía is modeled after the Ciclovias which began in Colombia three decades ago.

This free event encourages attendees to get outdoors to enjoy recreation and physical activity with fellow citizens in the setting of our beautiful city. Bring your bike, stroller, skateboard, rollerblades, soccer ball, and even your pet (as long as they’re on a leash and you pick up after them!) and play in the gorgeous San Antonio pre-Spring weather.  Live music, activities, food and beverages, and restrooms are located every half mile at Reclovias (recreation stations).

Still not convinced that playing in the street is cool? Let me entice you with a glimpse into last year’s Síclovía fun. You can’t watch it without wanting to hop off the couch and into the great outdoors this Sunday:
