LEGO has become one of the most recognizable and popular toys worldwide. The colorful plastic bricks and the tiny people who inhabit their world can be found everywhere these days: in toy boxes, amusement parks, on TV and movie theater screens, video games, and the bottoms of parents’ feet. LEGO might be one of the world’s most popular toys, but many families are unable to afford the LEGO sets their children want and deserve this holiday season. To help give children the gift of play this year, LEGO has launched the #BuildToGive campaign in order to make this holiday season magical for all kids.
To give the gift of educational construction play this season, all you have to do is build a LEGO ornament and share it with the world. For every ornament shared online, through the LEGO Life social network, or in a LEGO retail store, the LEGO Group will donate one LEGO set to a child in need of creative play.
LEGO has already donated more than 100,000 sets this holiday season but hopes to bring that total up to over half a million. If you want to be a part of the #BuildToGive campaign, head over to the LEGO website for full instructions on how to build your ornament and share it with the world.
To take part in #BuildToGive this year, visit the LEGO store at North Star Mall, 7400 San Pedro Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78216. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The holidays are a time of year for thinking of others and giving what you can, and the #BuildToGive campaign is a perfect way to spread holiday magic while having some creative play. #BuildToGive runs from November 5 to December 13, 2018, so get building and give the gift of LEGO this year.
