Join the San Antonio Symphony, the USAF Band of the West Freedom Brass and the 323d Army Band, “Fort Sam’s Own,” as we celebrate our 12th Annual Salute to Service – a free Veteran’s Day Concert. This concert will include music of John Philip Sousa and John Williams, and feature Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. This is a free concert, but tickets are required. The annual Owl Prowl is presented by Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologist, Jessica Alderson. Take a 1/2 mile hike to the interpretive area along the Medina River where barred owls will be called in with owl calls as they stake out their territory. Due to the sensitivity of the owls, no participants will be admitted after 6:30 p.m. This program is limited to the first 40 people who reserve a spot. Book your spot and get more information by calling 210-207-3103. This program is suggested for adults and children older than 7 years old. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating and warmth, and a flashlight. Suggested donation of $3 per person or $5 per family.

Renaissance on the River and Shakespeare in the Park. La Villita will be transformed into “Olde Englande,” offering entertainment for all ages, and King and Queen Kevin and Sandi Wolff invite you to attend the festival. Renaissance on the River and Shakespeare in the Park admission is free and has entertainment for the whole family! At the entrance to La Villita, a town crier will welcome all attendees to the event. The Magik Theatre will bring artisans, magicians, jugglers, fire-eaters, swordsmen, singers, dancers, roving beggars and thieves, period crafts, games, a children’s area, and food to the San Antonio Riverwalk. In the Gracie Barra kids program, our goal is to help your child build stronger confidence so they can overcome bullies without violence. Due to the non-violent nature of the techniques, effective techniques to deal with bullying for children between the ages of 4 and 14. We will teach your child to use verbal assertiveness to deter bullies and several non-violent self-defense techniques to stay safe if physically assaulted.

The lecture is given at a middle-school student level and allows discussion of recent topics in astronomy and space that will be of interest to the public. Following the hour-long lecture, stargazing will take place that the Curtis Vaughan Observatory in the same building as the lecture hall. Free Infant Massage Class Preview. This preview class will provide a overview of what infant massage is all about. Babies are welcomed, but no participation from them is needed during the preview. A few benefits of infant massage for baby are establishing trust, touch, stimulation and feeling loved. And for the parents are comfortable with baby, better sleep, confidence and decreased anxiety. This is a great bonding experience for both mothers and fathers to practice with their little one. If you are a new mom, experienced mom, or a soon to be mom this is the class for you and your little one. If you are a soon to be mom a baby doll will do for learning infant massage.
