We’ve found several family-friendly Pokémon Go events in San Antonio events taking place all over the Alamo City this weekend so you can catch a bunch. Free Lucy’s Doggy Daycare & Spa Pokemon Go Dog Walk
Thursday, August 18, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and Spa downtown location, 937 S. Laredo St., San Antonio, TX 78204
Join Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and Spa for a FREE Pokemon Go Dog Walk! Participants will also have the opportunity to walk pups from SNIPSA, San Antonio Humane Society, and San Antonio R.O.C.K.S. that are looking for forever homes. All dogs will be available for adoption following the walk. The walk will begin at the downtown location and will travel a Pokemon-filled route to The Friendly Spot Ice House for a Yappy Hour before returning to Lucy’s. There will also be tons of dog treats, prizes, and more! * Please note all dogs must be on leash.
Pokémon Go WILD at SA Zoo
Every Friday evening in August (5, 12, 19, & 26) at the San Antonio Zoo, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Catch ’em all at the San Antonio Zoo every Friday evening in August. The San Antonio Zoo offers special admission on these Pokemon Go nights! Just $7 admission for all ages to the zoo (valid 6-9 p.m., only, not valid with any other discounts or coupons); Zoo members get in FREE; Happy Hour Specials at Longnecks Bar & Grill and Bistro. Pokémon Go Party
Friday, August 26: Olympia Hills Golf Course, 12900 Mount Olympus
5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Pokémon on the golf course, 8:00 p.m. movie: Pokémon 2000 (bring your chairs!)
The Olympia Hills Golf Course will be open just for Pokémon trainers and families! Find a great variety of Pokémon from Tauros to Magikarp and Zubat to Execute. Wear your team colors. Win prizes! Free team wristbands while supplies last. Lures at the clubhouse all night. Golf cart rental will be available if you don’t want to walk the course. Rental fee is $12. Number of carts is limited. Free popcorn during the movie!
San Antonio Epilepsy SuperHero / Pokémon Go 5K Fun Run/Walk
Saturday, November 12: Mission County Park Pavilions, 6030 Padre Dr., 78214, 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas has created Team Valor, Team Mystic and Team Instinct for our upcoming 5k. The course starts at the Mission County Pavilions. The route has multiple Pokemon stops and being so close to the San Antonio River you are guaranteed to catch some water Pokemon. The team with the largest numbers will receive a vinyl decal for every team member! We will be running multiple contests for Pokemon goodies for all our Pokemon Teams! Adults are $25 to register and children 17 and under are $15, kids 3 and under are free. Registration fee includes a t-shirt and a goodie bag filled with comics, coupons and variety of fun items.

Pick your team and meet up at one of three San Antonio downtown locations. All teams have leaders and a route planned out while walking together around the streets of downtown San Antonio. All walks end at Hemisfair Park. Once at the park feel free to meet all your Pokemon lovers, continue hanging out with your team, or go out on your own. If you happen to break away from the group and want to come back later, message your leader for their location.

On Thursday, July 21, the San Antonio Zoo stays open late for major Pokémon Go fun! A special admission price of just $7 per person gets you into the Zoo (valid 6-9 p.m., 7/21/16 only) and Zoo members get in FREE! There will also be Happy Hour Specials at Longnecks Bar & Grill, serving mouth-watering pub food, wine and craft beer. Plus, there’s lots more Pokémon to catch in nearby Breckenridge Park. You’re invited to Goodwill San Antonio’s Pokémon Go “PokéStop PokéShop” hunt on Sunday, July 31. There will be lures on nearby PokéStops for two hours. There’s also a contest in which Pokémon Go players can win a $20 gift card. Pokémon Go players also receive a 10% discount on clothing items during the event on Sunday.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden invites you to catch ’em all after hours at Pokemon GO at the Garden. There are gyms and Pokestops located throughout the Garden and they’ll be dropping lures too. General admission applies. Members enjoy free admission.

Tuesday, August 4 at the Witte Museum from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
General admission is free! Special pricing for the exhibit Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed: only $10 for adults and $5 for kids 4-11!
Join the Witte Museum for an afternoon of full of lure modules, gym battles, and exploration. Pokemon are always sneaking into the exhibits. They love jumping on top of the stela in #MayaSA and on the maps in #MappingTexas, hanging around the camp fire in #Splendor and trying to get POWERPass in the #HEBBodyAdventure. Kona Ice SA will be selling PokémonGo themed snow cones representing teams: Instinct, Mystic, and Valor. PokéPics: Try to snap a photo of a Pokémon and the Witte in the same frame! Submit photos with the hashtag #WittePokePic. The best pic will win a pair of #MayaSA Anytime Tickets. PokéGym: Win the Grand Prize by being in control of the Witte’s very own PokéGym at the end of the event! Pokémon & Pups Night at the Garden

It’s the #DogDaysofSummer and the San Antonio Botanical Gardens is kicking off August with a special Pokemon & Pups Night at the Garden! Bring your favorite four-legged friend for after-hours fun exploring over 35 acres of lush gardens. Search for Pokemon, battle over 2 gyms and find 13 Pokestops along the way – all with the help of your trusted companion. Pups can also enjoy playing and lounging in puppy pools. General admission + $5 donation per leashed dog. (General Admission: Adults $10 | Children (3-13) $7 | Children (under age 3) Free) Members enjoy free admission + $5 per leashed dog. Proceeds benefit the San Antonio Botanical Garden.
