#DeedADay and 100 Good Deeds bracelet

Disclosure: I received this 100 Good Deeds bracelet as a gift to review and share with my readers. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed herein are my own.

What if everyone did one good deed every day? The world would be a brighter place if we all committed to look out for one another, to be kinder to both the people we love and the strangers we meet each day.

My goal for 2015: To do one good deed, each day. It sounds like an easy task, right? But, can I stick to it?

We all lead busy lives. Our hearts are full of good intentions but sometimes we forget to follow through. Without a reminder, our intentions might never turn into action. Those small good deeds, which could add up to a lot, just won’t get done.

But what if I had a way to remind myself, to keep track, easily, of my good deeds each day? Success would be mine! And, even better, what if that reminder was beautiful and, just by wearing it, I would be helping someone too?

Designed by author, artist, and AIDS/HIV activist Mary Fisher, the 100 Good Deeds bracelet is a fashion statement and a cause. Each time you do a good deed, just move the little band over one bead.

My bracelet’s color is peacock. I love it (and the concept behind it) so much that I’m buying one for my daughter too. She’s already having fun helping me keep track of my good deeds.

The #1GD bracelets are made by women around the world (Uganda, India, Indonesia, Zambia, South Africa, Rwanda, and Haiti) who live in vulnerable circumstances. The 100 Good Deeds project provides them with training to make the bracelets and a way to support their families.
