Terrell Hills in San Antonio has once again made the list of the wealthiest cities in Texas. A new ranking from HomeSnacks reveals that Terrell Hills ranks as the no. 1 wealthiest city in Texas in 2021. 

The Wealthiest City in Texas

Since Terrell Hills ranked last year, HomeSnacks decided to review the area statistics again. HomeSnacks reviews a myriad of factors when forming their list. They look into factors such as median household income, poverty rates, and unemployment rates for Texas cities with a minimum of 5,000 residents. Research shows that this stunning, posh suburb lands at $181,979 with an incredibly low unemployment rate of 1.2 percent but a poverty rate of 0.7 percent.

Fair Oaks Ranch and Alamo Heights

Fair Oaks Ranch and Alamo Heights also made the HomeSnacks list. They joined Terrell Hills as some of the wealthiest cities in Texas. And in 2021, Fair Oaks Ranch ranks at No. 8, which is one spot higher than 2020. Fair Oaks Ranch residential income sits at $128,398, while unemployment ranks at 1.8 percent. The Fair Oaks Ranch area also only has a poverty rate of 3 percent.

Last year, Alamo Heights weighed in at No. 32 and is at No. 10 this year. The Alamo Heights median household income is $141.048 with a 1 percent unemployment rate with a 4.4 percent poverty rate. So, according to HomeSnacks, here are the 10 wealthiest cities in Texas in 2021.
