The Old Plants/New Ideas: Renewing Interest in San Antonio’s Native Plants (DreamWeek 2022) – In Garden. Many edible native plants have been used for thousands of years in the San Antonio area. Modernization, on the other hand, resulted in a decrease in interest and demand for the typically labor-intensive foodstuffs. A renaissance of personal and business interest in rejuvenating these plants has recently resulted from rising interest in foraging, eating locally, and regional terroir. This class will discuss the history of a few native plants, and attendees will be able to sample how they have been altered for current preferences for each species. Over the age of 21. This event takes place during DreamWeek 2022.
Registration Required; deadline is January 26 by 6 p.m.
