COVID-19 has affected many people, businesses, and relationships and unfortunately, the well-known Cadillac Bar & Restaurant in San Antonio, Texas has not been immune. However, The Cadillac has recently decided to revamp and reopen its restaurant with new furniture. Their redesign has pushed them to list all their old furniture and décor on an estate sale site and you can buy it.
While we don’t know when the to remodel will take place, we do know that the old building was constructed in the 1870s and features some of the first electric streetlights in the state of Texas. Cadillac’s history is made up of old ranchers and farmers who would meet in the building to conduct business. Lately, it has turned into a watering hole for tourists and locals alike who enjoy a strong drink in a nostalgic space. This local bar is filled with Texas history and has long been a popular place in the Texas hill country.
The decoration and furniture that has given The Cadillac all of its charm and personality are the exact pieces that are now being sold at an estate sale on Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd. The auction block will consist of neon signs, commercial kitchen equipment, framed Bar and Coca-Cola memorabilia, tables, chairs, and barstools. Even the iconic and beautiful massive chandelier that hung in the building is for sale.
According to the auction site, the location of the sale has not yet been announced. Those interested will be able to find out where the sale will be held on Thursday. While it hasn’t been confirmed, many speculate that the estate sale will be held at the famous bar itself. The auction hours will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday.
