Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Trace Adkins will be featured in a filmed concert that will debut at the Stars and Stripes Drive-in Theatre in New Braunfels, Texas on July 25. As positive tests and hospitalizations across the state of Texas continue to rise from the coronavirus, people are getting creative about how to have fun.

Tickets cost $114.99 per vehicle and for this price, up to six people can get into the concert. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Tuesday, July 14th. Encore Live is putting on the filmed concert after they did the same thing with  Garth Brooks in June at the drive-in theatre. Drive-in shows are becoming popular again since they’re a safe way to stay socially distant during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This filmed concert with Shelton, Stefani, and Adkins will also stream at plenty of other drive-ins across Texas on July 25. According to Ticketmaster, the filmed concert was made exclusively for drive-in theatres across the nation. The Ticketmaster website says “From the safety of your vehicle, you get a night out to enjoy a cinematic concert experience under the summer sky,”

It’s no secret that there have been many different businesses that COVID-19 has negatively affected. Two of these businesses are concerts and movies. Neither activities allow for accessible social distancing, and it is discouraged to spend time in large crowds of people for fear that the easily transmittable virus will spread quickly. However, in a burst of creativity, concerts and movie theatres have decided to pair up to bring the people of central Texas some safe entertainment.

By filming a concert and streaming it in a safe atmosphere, patrons are able to not only experience the electricity of what a live concert would be like, but they’re also able to get out of the house and enjoy some unconventional fun.
