barbie truck san antonio

Barbie is celebrating her 60th birthday in style by trading her pink convertible in for a retro van and hitting the road on a three-year tour of the country, and San Antonio on February 8th is one of her stops. If you’re a Barbie fan and you’re looking for an affordable, entertaining, and a little unconventional thing to do this weekend, spending some time at the Barbie truck should be on your agenda.

Where is Barbie Going?

In November of 2019, Mattel Inc, the company that makes Barbie decided to recruit fans, celebrities, and high-profile social media influencers to help publicize Barbie’s most adventurous activity yet. The Barbie Truck’s first stop was at the Grove in Los Angeles and the event was a huge success.

Attendees of all ages stopped by the party to see Barbie and her truck, check out some awesome merchandise, and enjoy the party. Because of this, Barbie’s renegade road trip has been a big success and we don’t expect anything less at the San Antonio stop.

You can find the Barbie Truck this Saturday at The Shops at La Cantera, 15900 La Cantera Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78256 on February 8th, 2020 from 10 am – 7 pm.

What is the Barbie Truck?

What kind of stuff is waiting for you at the Barbie Truck?

The Barbie truck is chock-full of limited-edition swag such as denim jackets, baseball caps, macaroon cookies, accessories and more. Beyond that, Barbie lovers can snap their perfect Instagram picture in a life-size Barbie box, get a manicure and have the merchandise that they buy airbrushed and customized.

With this kind of fun, you’ll be singing, “Come on Barbie, let’s go party!” all weekend long. If you’re looking for a cool thing to do with kids in San Antonio, this event needs to be on your list.

How is Barbie Doing It?

How are they getting the word out and popularizing Barbie again? You guessed it. There is an Instagram account you can check out. The handle is @BarbieStyle and already has over 2.1 million followers. You can also check out @BarbieTruckTour for promos, dates, and activities.

For more info on all of this, check out the official event page on Facebook.
