Drives to Collect School Supplies

ChildSafe School Supply Drive

All donations will benefit ChildSafe families.
Here’s the list of requested school supplies.
Clothesline Cleaners
All Clothesline Cleaners are donation locations for District 1 Back to School Wellness Fair. They need the following supplies (or cash donations):
– new backpacks
– 70 ct. spiral notebooks (wide ruled)
– pocket folders
– crayons (16 or 24 count)
– rulers
– glue sticks
– No. 2 pencils
– loose-leaf notebook paper

Free concert ($3 parking per vehicle)
Enjoy a free concert featuring the best of Tejano, blues and country music. Donations of school supplies will be gladly accepted at the designated drop off areas.
Free Back to School Events, Wellness Fairs, and Free School Supplies
Tuesday, August 4, The DoSeum, 2800 Broadway, 78209, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Free Back to School Bash with The DoSeum and KLRN: limited to 1,500 people – arrive early to ensure entry! Discover, Explore, Create and Learn at the 7th annual Back to School Bash! Explore exhibits and enjoy school readiness activities. While you’re here, stop by to meet and greet The Cat in the Hat!

Back to School Bash 2015: Tax free shopping, free hair cuts, discounted student athlete physicals, free dental screening, raffles every hour, Back to School Fashion Show, free arts and crafts/balloon artist from 1PM-3PM.

Back to School Event for school-aged children residing in City Council District 7. Parents must accompany their children. Supplies will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Saturday, August 15, The Neighborhood Place, 3014 Rivas St., 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
City Council District 1 School Supplies and Back to School Wellness Fair. Services available at the fair include immunizations, dental and vision screening, backpacks and school supplies, free food, and more. Backpacks will be distributed to elementary and middle school-age children. Services are available on first come first served basis, and there is no guarantee.
Saturday, August 15, Centro Med Clinic, 9011 Poteet-Jourdanton Fwy, 78224, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Back-to-School Health and Book Fair for residents of City Council District 4. Students must complete a dental exam, health screening, and immunizations before they can obtain free school supplies and get a haircut. Parent must accompany children.
Saturday, August 15, Harlandale ISD Boggess Center, 12121 SE Loop 410, 78221, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Senator Carlos Uresti’s Back to School Event. Back-to-School and Health Fair (including immunizations). Backpacks will be distributed to children (one per child) in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
