1. Brunch at Z’Tejas with the #foodiemamas! (April 14)
Join the #foodiemamas for brunch, Saturday at Z’Tejas at La Cantera. A yummy Southwestern-style brunch, a mimosa or two, and the company of smart, funny women? Brunch never sounded better. There are only four spots left, so RSVP right away!
2. Cool camps that save you cash
Summer’s right around the corner. It’s all about fun in the sun, but sometimes moms need a break and kids need a diversion. Don’t miss Debi‘s post at SA Busy Kids: Seven Summer Programs Under $100.
3. One mom’s strikingly honest post about stress and depression, and what saved her from both
San Antonio mom blogger Stephanie, who writes at Blood, Sweat, and Minivans, took a chance and bared her soul in her latest post. Most moms can relate to some or all of what she shares but what I love most about her courageous confession is the hope she gives to me and all moms who find themselves struggling at one time or another.
4. A San Antonio mom blogger gets her byline in San Antonio Taste!
Emily, at Defining Delicious, wrote a piece for San Antonio Taste this month called, Mrs. Auden’s Kitchen. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy to read all about Biga chef/owner Bruce Auden’s talented wife. We all know what a great writer (and foodie!) Emily is, but it’s nice to see the rest of San Antonio find out too. You can pick up a copy of San Antonio Taste at Barnes & Noble, select HEB stores, Central Market, and Whole Foods Market. Congratulations, Emily!
5. The Bloggess! In San Antonio! (April 23 – not technically this week but I wanted to include it so you don’t miss it)
If you haven’t heard of The Bloggess, you’re not allowed to call yourself a blogger. Unless you go, right now, to read her entire blog. Go ahead. We’ll wait. Yeah, she’s that good.
For those who’ve spent any time reading Jenny Lawson’s posts while wiping away tears (both from side-splitting laughter and from identifying with her battles against depression and anxiety disorder), this is your chance to meet her. Live! And! In! Person! The Bloggess will be hanging out at the Barnes and Noble at La Cantera to discuss and sign copies of her new book, Let’s Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir). Chances are you’ll see a pretty great contingent of San Antonio mom (and other) bloggers there too.
thank you so much, Colleen. Truly, the most thoughtful blogger I know! xo
Thank you, Emily! That is so kind of you to say. I love your blog and can’t wait to read your article in Taste. 🙂
